Forty Days after Easter we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Ascension. The Feast of the Ascension is one of the seven Principal Feasts of the Church. Due to the changing nature of religious life in Canada, provision has been made to celebrate the Ascension on the Sunday following Ascension Day. This day is also kept as Jerusalem and Holy Land Sunday as "a call to action for Anglicans and Lutherans in Canada to stand in partnership with the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan & the Holy Land." Quarante jours après Pâques, nous célébrons la fête de la Sainte Ascension. La fête de l’Ascension est l’une des sept grandes fêtes de l’Église. En raison de l’évolution de la vie religieuse au Canada, il a été décidé de célébrer l’Ascension le dimanche suivant le jour de l’Ascension.
